Inicio Six have supported the school in several projects. These have ranged from full build projects refit and refurbishment projects, groundworks, and the supply of office and class resources and equipment.

These works have included:

School Dining Room and Kitchen.
This project involved the conversion on an old assembly hall building into a fully professional kitchen and dining area. The kitchen was completed to current Health & Hygiene regulations along with the installation of the latest spec kitchen equipment, laundry and WC area and all associated electrical & drainage requirements. The Dining Hall included a full restoration and decoration, installation of windows & doors, hot & cold air conditioning, electric blinds, parquet flooring, and the installation of audio-visual equipment. All common areas were decorated to an extremely high standard with new door and floor finishes.

Outdoor Learning Classroom.
The development of an open space into a new external classroom for the School. This involved significant groundworks followed by the construction of a timber-framed building in keeping with the surrounding of the school. Again, this building was finished to a very high standard throughout with all the school’s power, lighting and heating requirements being installed. Alongside the groundworks for the building, Inicio Six also installed a new service road behind the building for access for deliveries and school traffic to the rear of the school. This was required to withstand large commercial vehicles. The project also included the security fencing for this service road.

School Cricket Pavilion.
The school had a very traditional timber-clad cricket pavilion which had severely weathered over time. Iniciosix were able to consult with the school on a modern composite material, in keeping with the original timber design, to re-clad the entire pavilion. This work also included the installation of new Velux windows and exterior approach lighting.

Parking Area Development.
This large scale groundwork project was to install a sub-surface structure on a grassed area to develop an all year round parking area for the school for approximately 50 cars. The structure is not visible and has no impact on mowing equipment used to maintain the area.

When the school has requirements involving office-based or classroom furniture or equipment, they are able to assist rapidly with options and delivery. They have also previously consulted with the school on recommended equipment following occupational health recommendations or when the school has had to make adaptations to areas or individuals.

Their teams are extremely professional with an excellent work ethic. They always adhere to the school’s procedures for working on site and safeguarding.

When we had our budget approved for a 2 floor office refurbishment, I had an idea of what I wanted to achieve but not all decision had been totally confirmed. We went out to tender with 5 fairly local contractors. As I was new to the area, initially I looked at their websites and then the follow up conversations helped me short-list to 3 companies.

Inicio Six initially didn't arrive with anything for our meeting which I found slightly strange as they were pitching for the business. Actually, they came to listen to what we were trying to achieve, went away and came back within a week with some great visuals which included my initial thoughts but showed me how we could use our space more effectively. This was the way Phil works, he comes up with ideas, provides up-front costings and doesn't do anything without approval.

The end result far exceeded my expectations and the office staff were amazed at what we had managed to convert the offices in to. The team were excellent, no mess, aware of people working within a 'building site'. The team were on site when they said they would be, always cleared up after themselves and went above and beyond to make sure the project allowed our business to still operate daily.

The project came in on-time, on budget and far exceeded my expectations. I would absolutely recommend Inicio Six and the team to the highest level and would without a doubt use them again for any further projects.
